THE POWER OF RED — Feelings in Bloom Collection

I started painting these abstract florals with bright, beautiful colors that make me feel so happy. They are alive! They're full of whimsey, color and joy.
Several friends were wanting my work in their home because they could feel my joy through the colors, so I wanted to create something that YOU could bring into your own space — some Karly colorful joy.
So I painted seven canvases together, all in one sitting — one feeling, one moment, expressed in seven unique ways.
After I finished painting, I learned that while I was painting and just feeling so happy and so full of joy and love… my sweet grandma had passed. She was an artist, she LOVED bright colors, her favorite color being red, and I found myself painting with it alllll day long.
About half way through my painting, a beautiful red ladybug landed on my table and stayed for a while as I painted. I didn't know it at the time but I know now that was my sweet grams saying hi and sharing this special moment with me. Painting my first collection, using all the reds, while literally dancing in the sun. ❤️
